My sincere apologies for not responding earlier. I don’t check the contact pages on the Godstone Village website very often as we get very few messages. To become a member of the Godstone Village Association (GVA) you just pay £5 per year which is payable in September. The GVA usually has a stand at the village fete and that is where many people pay their subscription. You don’t have to be a member of the GVA to get involved in any of the activities listed on the website though. I know that there are a few that are out of date with contact details (we’re trying to get people to give us updates!) but it is a good starting point. The GVA simply acts as an umbrella for all of the village organisations and works to represent the village on matters like planning, traffic and other issues that affect the village – this is what the subs fund. There is also a list of organisations with contact numbers at the back of the Godstone and South Godstone Magazine which is available in some village shops.
